Covid News & Resources

Please find details of new risk assessment below for SEPTEMBER 2021.

Information shared with parents can be found in our LETTERS HOME section and learning for you to support your child at home in the case of self-isolation can be found under our HOME LEARNING section.

A PCR test must be taken as soon as possible if someone has any of the symptoms below and the individual and anyone they live with should stay at home until the test result is received.

  • a high temperature (note NHS no longer specifies this to be above 37.8 degrees
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss or change to sense of smell or taste

Anyone in a childcare or support bubble should also stay at home if they have been in close contact with them since symptoms started or during the 48 hours before they started.

Many families have been using the LFT testing kits, but to be clear, these are used as a preventative measure, for individuals without symptoms. LFT kits are NOT appropriate for use where symptoms are displayed.

Full details about testing can be found on the NHS website HERE.

In school, we will continue to take a cautious approach and under these circumstances, we will contact you for more information or to request that you collect your child and ask you to get a test for them if we believe they are displaying any of these symptoms.
