School Clubs

No school clubs will be running inside school for the Autumn term. This will be reviewed at a later date. Forest school club has limited places - contact Zoe Halford on or send  a text to 07980 213590

Teachers run a variety of clubs at lunchtimes (e.g. art, construction and netball) and after school throughout the year. Children also have the opportunity to sign up for after-school clubs run by outside organisations including Football and Karate.

The school runs a popular after school Home Learning club on a Wednesday and booking is essential!  Teachers also run catch up home learning clubs at lunchtimes.

Musical Instrument Lessons:

Weekly music lessons are offered at Denmead Junior School during school hours. Hampshire Music Services offers violin and guitar lessons at £5 per lesson. Children will need their own instrument of the correct size which can be bought or hired (through H.M.S.) and the music teacher will advise on any music book purchases. Termly tuition fees are payable in advance through the school, so your child will need to be committed! There are limited places and therefore it will be on a first come first serve basis.  The Music Leader at the school organises concerts for everyone during the year.

Band Performance Lessons:

The school  can also offer weekly band lessons on the electric guitar, drums, keyboard or vocals, which are provided during the school day by Rocksteady Music School. Parents are invited in to school to enjoy the termly concert performances. Contact them directly to book or for more information: 0330 113 0330 or via their Rocksteady Website.
