Not long now and they will be home! They've all had a lovely time. Everyone packed their bags last night before the disco which was great fun. The last activities this morning are Forest orienteering, skiing, low ropes and shooting.
The coach is due to arrive back at school at approximately 2.30pm. Please can you make sure you allow the coach access through to the school and not to park on the road where the coach will drive along. The children can be collected at 2.30pm. You will need to let the teacher know you are taking your child. If you are unable to collect your child they will remain in school until the normal going home time.
Everyone is having a great time and enjoying all the full on activities. It was movie night last night and they watched ‘Despicable Me’ in their pyjamas and brought down their duvets and pillows. Some didn’t quite see the end and were already fast asleep! This morning it was a bit of a struggle to wake up but after a good breakfast they are all ready to face the day of:- low ropes, climbing, archery, ski 3 (up to the very top of the slope), crate stacking (team game) and air rifle targets. Although a little drizzly with rain first thing it is now sunny and clear. This evening they will be packing up their belongings and later will be enjoying the disco. They are due back at school at approximately 2.30 pm tomorrow. If parking your car near the school please make sure there is enough room for the coach to get through. Get ready for all the dirty washing!
Yesterday, although they did get some drizzly rain, everyone still managed to enjoy all the exciting activities. Mrs MacGrain said that their skiing has already improved. They had a lot of fun with the ‘ringos’ – a tube where you sit in it and slide down the ski slope.
Today the sun is out and they will be undertaking the ‘forest quest’ and also forest orienteering. Other activities they will be completing today are archery and low ropes which is an obstacle course for team building. Everyone is eating very well, all the activities are giving them big appetites and luckily the food is in great abundance. They even get home made cake in the afternoon! Tonight is film night.
The children have settled in well and are enjoying all the activities. Yesterday they went skiing and climbing. The teachers said that some children could be Olympians in the making! Surprisingly, with all the excitement, they still managed to sleep well last night! They had a lovely cooked breakfast this morning. It is a bit grey and overcast today but they are looking forward to exploring the forest. This evening they will doing an “egg drop” and rocket launching.
Everyone has arrived safely. They are all very excited. After unpacking, they had lunch and then started their activities. The weather is sunny and breezy.
