Last day today. The weather this morning is cloudy and a bit rainy. Yesterday they enjoyed a hike in which they followed a circular walk and were able to watch the Isle of Wight steam train go by. In the evening the children dressed up and had a disco.
This morning they will be doing indoor climbing, survivor and aero ball which is a trampoline and basket ball activity.
Their bags are all packed now and they are due to get the 2.30pm Ferry and should be back at school at around 3.45/4.00pm.
Please remember to keep the roads clear for the coach to get down. Thank you.
Everyone really enjoyed the activities yesterday especially The Matrix which was a challenge and logical thinking activity. They also had great fun with swimming and climbing. Last night they played Ambush which is a game of hide and seek in the dark. After such busy days they are all eating and sleeping really well.
Today the weather is dry but a bit overcast. They will be going on a hike today and tonight is the disco. The last day tomorrow will be a full morning of activities and then packing everything up. Be prepared for lots of washing!
The coach aims to be back at approximately 3.45/4.00pm. Please make sure if you park your car along the road that you leave room for the coach to get into school. Thank you.
The weather yesterday in the end wasn’t too bad and they had a lot of sunshine although a bit windy. The dragon boating in the creek was great fun as was the Sensory Trail. On the trail they get blindfolded, roped up and have to guide each other whilst describing the trail that they are on – quite a few came out a bit wet and muddy but thoroughly enjoyed it!
In the evening they went to the beach fire which was a great success. It was a lovely clear night and they could see the lights of Portsmouth from across the sea. They told stories and sang songs around the fire before heading back to their log cabins. After such a busy day everyone slept really well.
They have woken up to sunshine and blue sky this morning. After a good breakfast they are taking part in a combination of activities today:- Zip wire, Jacobs Ladders – wooden poles that get higher and higher and aqua fun in the pool.
Everyone is having a great time. They arrived on the Isle of Wight by ferry late afternoon yesterday. The children were really excited when they were shown their log cabins in the woods and after unpacking they enjoyed a delicious meal. It was windy during the night and because the children were still excited it did take a while for them to go to sleep! This morning they were up early and all had a good breakfast. It’s Ellie’s Birthday today so Happy Birthday to Ellie! The activities for today are Abseiling, Jacobs ladder and Dragon boating. This evening they will be going to the beach and having a beach fire.
